Provincial police are asking for the public's help in tracking down the perpetrators of a case of animal abuse they say is so horrific, they don't even want to describe it.
On Sunday, two dogs were found killed, and apparently tortured, in a ditch in the community of Saint-Valérien-de-Milton, north of Granby.
The dogs, a three-year-old named Yoshi and a two-year-old named Tonka, were repoted missing last Wednesday by their owners, two neighbors who live off Route 137 in the nearby community of Sainte-Cécile-de-Milton.
The Sûreté du Québec suggests the dogs were tortured, beaten and strangled.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the SQ station in Haute-Yamaska at 450-539-3252.
The owners and animal welfare advocates are offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
