A well-known jewellery store in Westmount is closing after being in operation for 70 years.
Lou Goldberg Jeweller has been run by the founder's two sons, but they've now decided to move on.
Eric Goldberg told CTV how his father began.
"He started the business basically out of his pockets. He had a special vest made with a lot of different pockets and he’d go from house to house showing people by appointment the jewelry that he had to sell. He opened up an actual upstairs office in 1957, which was downtown", said Eric Goldberg
He pointed out his older brother Joel decided to retire, adding the whole store is too much for one person to run.
Eric Goldberg added he plans to open a small store in Westmount in 2017.
Lou Goldberg Jeweller will close on Saturday.
