Something new in Chinatown this weekend: the Asian Night Market will bring about 50 food and activity kiosks to La Gauchetière street. NDG ice cream joint Ca Lem and the popular Cuisine Bangkok will be amongst vendors travelling to the neighbourhood. Friday to Sunday.
The Main closes down from Sherbrooke to Mont-Royal for BLVD, St Laurent Boulevard's late summer street fair. Snack on a mango, drink cheap beer on a terrasse and shop for cheap threads. Kids can take skateboarding lessons Saturday and Sunday at 11am at the corner of St Laurent and Milton. The fun continues until Sunday.
How about some music under an overpass? Mile Ex End Festival invites you to see musicians and comics to the overpass near the viaduct at Rosemont and Van Horne. Enjoy Feist and La Force on Friday, and Les Cowboys Fringants and A Tribe Called Red on Saturday, and dance duo Chromeo on Sunday. Comics take the scene on Monday.
