After a couple of days of wet and mild conditions in Montreal, Mother Nature is bringing winter back.
While the daytime high for Friday is projected to be about 10°C with 10 to 15 millimetres of rain, Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the Montreal area, saying as a cold front passes over the province temperatures will drop drastically and the rain will change to freezing rain in the evening, then to ice pellets and to snow overnight.
The weather office is calling for about 10 centimeters of snow to fall Friday night with another 10 to 15 centimeters during the day Saturday where the daytime high will be about -10°C.
It's only going to get colder from there as temperatures are expected to go as low as -22°C overnight into Sunday, where despite sunshine throughout the day, the mercury will only reach -17°C.
