The 21 year old woman who was behind the wheel of a pick up truck that crashed in NDG in October of 2015, injuring then-Montreal Canadiens forward Zack Kassian has now been charged with impaired driving in the case.
Alison de Courcy-Ireland has been ordered to appear in court February 7.
Kassian suffered a broken ankle and a broken nose when the truck careened into a tree.
He was later suspended by the club, entered an NHL-sponsored substance abuse program and was eventually traded to the Edmonton Oilers.
The Journal de Montreal reports Kassian and de Courcy-Ireland are also named in an $82,000 civil suit filed by a Saint-Eustache truck leasing company which had lent the Ford F-150 to Kassian after he had arrived in Montreal.
